It's not all about dentistry here at Absolute Dental you know! To raise the profile of Absolute Dental and the wide ranges of treatments we offer, we have teamed up with the Haven Spa of Kingsbridge, and Rhod now offers our facial aesthetic treatments to their clients, as well as ours! The treatments, including facial fillers and wrinkle relaxing injections have been available to clients coming to the practice for over 6 years, but we wanted to build a strong working relationship with another local business and the Haven seemed to be a perfect alliance.

As part of this alliance, Rhod and the team have hosted 2 open evenings over the last week at Haven, and invited their clients, and ours, to an informal talk on the benefits of the facial aesthetic treatments and also live demonstrations.

Those who attended were given a background to the treatments themselves, shown photographs of how the treatment can improve facial aesthetics and invited for individual complimentary consultations with Rhod for more personal consultations.

The interest has been great, we have several booking already from both evenings, generating business for both us and Haven - a great success!

Researchers have suggested that sufferers of Raynaud's syndrome could find a lifeline in the form of Botox.The painful condition occurs when the blood vessels in hands and fingers over-react to cold temperatures, going white and then blue.

Sufferers often experience ulcers and sores, and in extreme cases amputations are not unheard of. However, according to some reports, Botox has successfully been used as a way of providing relief.Further reports have stated that said some patients have experienced reduced symptoms for three months after having Botox treatment, and in most cases the effect happens in just three to five days.According to the Raynaud's and Scleroderma Association, Raynaud's syndrome affects between three and 20 per cent of the world's population, with approximately ten million sufferers in Britain.
Although Absolute Dental do offer Botox for cosmetic purposes, sufferers of this condition would need to be referred to a specialist in this particular field.

Open Evening at The Haven
Absolute Dental are delighted to announce that Dr. Rhodri John, principal dentist,will be providing non-surgical facial aesthetic treatments at The Haven from early January, these treatments will still also be available at Absolute Dental.
